In order to improve service delivery, the management resolved to automate its office operations including the billing system for accounting purposes with the aim of keeping KWA’s books accurate and up to date. With this automation, KWA will be able to easily track cash flow, send quotes and invoices, track sales and expenses among other office operations.
Further, beginning April, 2020 all monthly water bills are sent via sms to all our members by the end of each month, and are due by the 15th day of the following month. All late payment attract a Ksh. 500.00 reconnection fee. Please look out for a message from KWA_WATER that details your monthly consumption and charges.
Please note that all water bills are payable via m-pesa paybill 584864 ONLY.
We do not accept cash, cheques or any other form of payment.
In view of the Non-Revenue Water challenges, KWA embarked on a meter verification exercise to ensure that they are correctly calibrated as of October 2019. As a consequence, the management committee resolved to replace all faulty meters at the respective resident’s cost including sealing of the same to ensure there is no tampering.
Over the past few months, Kerarapon has experienced an influx of new residents due to increased land sub-division which has resulted in increased request to relocate main supply lines from resident’s property to the road reserve.
In order to avoid future disruption, the management committee resolved to undertake a study of the main supply lines that needs to be upgraded or relocated with the aim of getting approval from the AGM to undertake this capital intensive but critical project. The cost and relocation breakdown will be provided in the proposed budget during the next AGM.
Due to our staggered distribution schedule, KWA encourages all our members to invest in adequate water storage facilities to enable them store water that will cater for their respective needs.
