Organization of KWA
KWA has three main organs: -
1. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) consisting of all registered members (of good standing);
2. The Management Committee;
3. The Trustees.
DUTIES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
- The highest decision making body of KWA,
- Holding of Annual General Meeting latest during the month of March each calendar year,
- Approval of minutes of the previous year,
- Reviewing the activities of the Association.
- Consideration of the Association's accounts and approving the proposed budget for the following year(s),
- Election of the Management Committee members and Trustees in accordance with Articles 17 and 27 of the KWA constitution,
- Appointment of Auditors in accordance to Article 25 of the KWA constitution,
- To ammend the statutes of the KWA constitution and to decide on any resolutions which may be submitted to the meeting as provided,
- Any other business with the approval of the chairman.
DUTIES OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
- Give directions to the Executive Commmittee and employees as to the manner in which they shall perform their duties,
- Power to appoint sub-committee as it may deem desirable,
- Make reports to Trustees and the Annual General Meeting,
- From time to time, make, repeal and ammend such regulations (not consistent with the KWA constitution and rules) as they shall think expedient for the management and well being of the Association,
- Hear and if found guilty, impose a penalty not exceeding amount set and published for any KWA Constitution and rules,
- Notify any member who has incured a fine and requesting for the payment of the same,
- Borrow money for the Association for the purpose authorised by the Annual General Meeting,
- Authorizing all monies disbursed on behalf of the Association.
DUTIES OF TRUSTEES
- All land,building and other immovable properties, which shall be acquired by the Association shall be vested in the Trustees,
- The trustees may be involved in the acquisition and/or construction of any immovable property of the Association in consultation with the Management Committee,
- The Trustees shall pay all incomes received from any property vested in them to the treasurer of the Association. Any expenditure in respect to such property, which in their opinion is necessary or desirable, shall be reported by the Trustees to the Management Committee which shall authorize expenditure to such monies as it thinks fit.
